Hannah the Pet Society is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to serve as Community Ambassadors. This vital role involves representing our organization within the veteran community and actively engaging with various veteran organizations to share and promote the benefits of our programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with veteran organizations, community groups, and local events.
  • Present information about Hannah's programs and services, specifically designed to support veterans and their families.
  • Distribute promotional materials and act as the face of Hannah at community events and meetings.
  • Gather feedback and insights from the community to help us improve and tailor our services.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for animal welfare and veteran support.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to attend events and meet with organization leaders.

This role is perfect for individuals looking to make a meaningful impact in their community while supporting a cause that connects veterans with the healing power of pets. Volunteers will receive training and all necessary materials to effectively represent Hannah and its mission

Hannah the Pet Society’s Foster Family Network is an initiative where compassionate volunteers offer a temporary, loving home to Pets awaiting their forever placement. Whether it’s a cuddly kitten, displaced adult dog or a gentle guinea pig, these Hannah Pets require care, socialization, and the warmth of a family environment to prepare them for their eventual role as a cherished Pet in an educational or family setting. As a foster family volunteer, you'll provide not just shelter but also the affection and basic training to help these Pets become adaptable and suitable companions. We support you with all necessary supplies, medical care, and guidance to ensure a rewarding fostering journey.

Hannah’s volunteer “Ambassadors” work with our pre-selected teachers and classrooms with everything from orienting them to our program, educating the teachers and or students with our Hannah developed curriculum to delivering food and supplies.  Our promise to each classroom is to make their Classroom Pet project fun, educational, and carefree – all at no cost to them.
